Abstract |
Thank you to the Institute of Policy Studies for giving me this platform to speak on new forms and movements, to talk about what’s happening in the environment space, specifically in the climate scene. Like many of you, I have learnt a lot from my fellow speakers about what they have been doing in their various organisations, in different hats and roles, in how they are trying to facilitate conversations, to influence society, and also to effect changes that are necessary to bring us to a better Singapore tomorrow. I would like to put on my hat as an active volunteer in the environmental space here in Singapore and share with you some of my learnings and observations that I have made through the years. So I'm not just going to talk about my organisation, Singapore Youth for Climate Action, I'm also going to give you a very big-picture view of what’s going on in the climate scene here and share with you some examples of what the other groups are doing as well. I have divided my presentation into three parts. |
