Bryocyclops muscicoloides, new species, and B. trangensis, new species, are described from caves in southern Thailand. They have a morphologic resemblance to B. muscicola (Menzel, 1926), a member of Group II sensu Lindberg (1954) in their armature formulae of Exp-2 P1–P4 (3.3.3.3 and 5.5.5.4 for spines and setae, respectively), intercoxal plates of P1–P4 acute, Enp P4 of female and male with one- and two-segmented, respectively, and urosomites and anal operculum serrated. However, B. muscicoloides, new species, is clearly distinguishable by the absence of inner coxal seta on P1, the absence of blunt setae on Exp-2 P2–P3, the shape of female Enp P4 and the unique transformed spine on the male Enp-2 P3 (the outstretched part tapers distally, and is located above the middle of the spine). Bryocyclops trangensis, new species, is characterised by the armature on Enp-2 P2 and Exp-2 P2–P3, the presence of spiniform processes on the male Enp-1 P4 and the transformed spine on the male Enp-2 P3 (the outstretched part is less-produced, and is located near the tip of the spine).

Two new anchovies, Encrasicholina intermedia and E. gloria are described from the western Indian Ocean, and Persian Gulf, Red Sea and Mediterranean, respectively. Both species resemble E. punctifer in having a short upper jaw (posterior tip not reaching to anterior margin of preopercle) and well developed needle-like scutes on the anteroventral body. Encrasicholina intermedia differs from E. punctifer and E. gloria in having 46–50, 36–38, 23–25 and 19–21 gill rakers on the first, second, third and fourth gill arches, respectively. Encrasicholina gloria is distinguished from the other two species by having a longer first unbranched dorsal-fin ray (6.8–7.9% of standard length) and higher counts of gill rakers: 51–59, 42–45, 26–29 and 19–23 on the first, second, third and fourth gill arches, respectively.

Two species of the genus Malayepipona Giordani Soika from Tay Nguyen highland in southern Vietnam are described as new to science: Malayepipona bidoup from Lam Dong province, and M. fincta from Dak Lak province. An updated key to all known species of the genus is provided.

Despite discoveries of new species of Metapocyrtus Heller, 1912 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), in Mindanao Island, Philippines, over the past few years, there are still many unknown species inhabiting unprotected and unexplored forest and mountain ecosystems. A recent survey of Mount Hamiguitan Range Wildlife Sanctuary revealed two new species of the genus. These two species, Metapocyrtus villalobosae, new species, and M. gapudi, new species, from Mount Kabunulan, Hamiguitan Range, Surop, Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental, Philippines, are described. An updated checklist, list of host plants, and brief descriptions of the natural habitat and ecology. are also provided.

Two new species, Mystilus frederici Kim et Jung, and M. carvalhoi Kim et Jung, are described from Vietnam. Morphological data including diagnoses and descriptions of male genitalia are presented. A revised key to the Mystilus species with corrections is also presented. The variation of key characters of Mystilus is discussed in correlation to the molecular data

Two new species of the genus Pupina are described from Son La Province, Northwestern Vietnam. Pupina sonlaensis, new species, has a small shell devoid of prominent sculpture on its highly glazed surface. It has a well-developed triangular parietal tooth and a funnel-like anterior canal, appearing as a slit on the inside, widened on outer margin, and bordered by a thickened collumellar margin. Pupina thaitranbaii, new species, has small shell sculptured with dense radial striae, and a unique spike-like protrusion at the anterior canal.
